Notes

° Adults (16+) are required to break 1 full board within three attempts.

° Children under 16 will be required to break either 1 full board, a 3/4 board or a 1/2 board wearing trainers or
martial arts shoes, within three attempts, depending on their size.

° Very small or young children (usually those under 8) will be required to on a white board suitable for juniors  wearing martial art shoes or trainers

° All children perform hand techniques on training pads only, with the exception of those going for 1st dan, where they will break a full board wearing a bag glove to protect their hands

° The 'three attempts rule' comes into effect for all grades/ages that require breaking as part of their grading.

° It will usually be the case that students have to demonstrate the new technique/s learnt that is appropriate
to their grade & an older technique, that was performed at an earlier grading (chosen by examiners).
To pass successfully you must break within three attempts with all techniques.

° Note that poor techniques or failed attempts in previous or junior gradings will be requested to be shown again to check for improvements.
