Interviews, Biographies & Legacies - Vol. 3
Special Edition

Totally Tae Kwon Do has published dozens of Interviews, Profiles and Legacies in its first 100 issues about the earliest pioneers of Taekwondo and contemporary practitioners who have helped develop and make Taekwondo a globally recognized martial art. Totally Tae Kwon Do has collected these articles into these volumes which offer unique personal perspectives of the art that has captured the hearts and minds of millions around the world.

This third volume of Interviews, Profiles & Legacies features such influential pioneers as Nam Tae-Hi, General Choi Hong-Hi's “right hand man”; the real Original Masters of (ITF) Taekwon-Do; the founders of the first Korean kwans; Low Koon Lin, the first non-Korean student of Taekwon-Do; and Keith D. Yates, pioneer of Korean Karate in the United States. This third volume also celebrates contemporary artists such as Walter “Al” Cole, the U.S. delegate to the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia; Ted Hopwood, who represented the UK in the 1st ITF World Taekwon-Do Championships in Montreal, Canada; Sarah Stevenson, who won Britain's first-ever medal for Taekwondo in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China; Ky-Tu Dang, multiple European and World Kukki Taekwondo poomsae champion; Simon John O'Neill, author of the ground-breaking book The Taegeuk Cipher; and Jaroslaw Suska, 19-time Tul European Champion and 5-time Tul World Champion. These personalities, of course, represent only a small number who have been featured in Totally Tae Kwon Do so far.

Editor Stuart Anslow recognizes that Taekwondo would not be the worldwide phenomenon it is today if not for the people who have developed, promoted and shaped the art. He also knows that Totally Tae Kwon Do has only begun to tap this abundant and bountiful resource..
