Interviews, Biographies & Legacies - Vol. 1 Special Edition Totally Tae Kwon Do, since its first issue, has sought to be the magazine that all Taekwondo would read. Stuart Anslow, Editor and Publisher, understood that other magazines published fewer and fewer Taekwondo-specific articles, and those which were published were shallow, uninteresting and – worst of all – irrelevant. Stuart believed that Totally Tae Kwon Do must be meaningful for Taekwondo in the grandest sense. It must contribute to the understanding of Taekwondo's complicated history, its moral and physical principles and techniques, and its practice. Taekwondo, however, is also about people. These first volumes of Interviews, Profiles & Legacies collect Totally Tae Kwon Do's articles about the people who have helped develop Taekwondo and make it a global phenomenon. Readers will be introduced in this first volume to such early martial artists as Ro Byung-Jik, Lee Won-Kuk, Chun Sang-Sup, Hwang Kee, Yoon Byung-In, Choi Hong-Hi, Nam Tae-Hi, Lee Yoo-Sun, Kim Kwang-Sung, Choi Chang-Keun, Willie Lim, Tran Trieu Quan, Dung Le Van, Kwang Duk-Chung, Clive Harrison and Kang Rhee. Other interviews and profiles in this first volume include Dev Patel, star of Slumdog Millionaire; Matthew Cadle, ITF World Champion; Stace Sanchez, founder of Kick Pics; Julia Cross, six time ITF World Champion; Philip Ameris, most senior student of Grandmaster Hee Il Cho and Technical Director of Grandmaster Cho's Action International Martial Arts Association (AIMAA); and other contemporary personalities. There's something for everyone in this first volume of Interviews,Profiles & Legacies from the pages of Totally Tae Kwon Do. |
