Students from Rayners Lane Taekwon-do Academy competed at this years `Kick It` event, which was held at Gravesend, Kent.

The students brought pack a sparkling array of gold medals, with two students (out of three from the event) winning `Best Overall Competitor` awards.

On the technical side of this Korean Martial art the Academy brought home no less than 5 gold medals in the patterns section of the tournament. These were won by Kanai Brand, Parvez Sultan, Dev Patel, Zoe Bennett & the Academies instructor Stuart Anslow, in these well-contested divisions. Assistant Instructor Farhad Ahmad & student Toni Bennett brought home silver medals in the pattern divisions & student Ade Odunaiya brought home a bronze medal.

The second part of the event consisted of sparring. This was fast & furious & extremely tough for all competitors. Dev Patel & Zoe Bennett both managed to obtain further gold medals in their respective divisions. Toni Bennett obtained a silver after facing her sister in an exciting final. Ade Odunaiya & Stuart Anslow both brought back bronze medals (and some bruises) from their divisions.

The day finished off with a tag team event. A large number of teams entered this section of the competition. Kanai Brand wasn't able to compete with his team due to an injury obtain earlier on in the competition, but fellow team members Sushil Punj & Lloyd Lewis fought on in the junior teams section, earning their team name `The Lil` Pitbulls`, as well as earning their bronze medals.

The day ended with the presentation of the medals by the tournament host, Mr kam Bains. Students Dev Patel & Zoe Bennett both picked up a further gold medal each for being 2 out of 3 of the days `Best Overall Competitors`.

This brings Rayners Lane Taekwon-do Academies tally of medals to 95 (including 34 golds) from only ten competitions since the Academy was started just over 2 years ago.
